The Restaurant, The Building, The Owners
The prestigious Sky Room is located atop the historic Breakers Hotel and is considered the best restaurant in Long Beach, CA. The historic Breakers originally built in 1926 operated as the first West Coast Hilton. Since it's opening, The Sky Room has continued to be the best restaurant drawing an enthusiastic clientele of local guests, Hollywood celebrities, politicians and world-renowned personalities of the time.
Restaurateur Bernard Rosenson acquired the Breakers in 1997, and immediately supervised a complete restoration of the property to its pre-war Art Deco grace; reopening The Sky Room to appreciative diners in February 1998. Always a rendezvous for luminaries such as Elizabeth Taylor, Nicky Hilton, Charles Lindberg, Babe Ruth, Merle Oberon, Clark Gable, John Wayne, Errol Flynn, Cary Grant, and other celebrities.

"A day has not gone by since opening that we haven't had a couple celebrating their fortieth or fiftieth anniversary, their first date or wedding at The Sky Room," says Mr. Rosenson.
